The fields are ready for harvest. The workers are few. Send me Lord. Twenty two years ago I died ... God sent me back to by body ... to live for him and fulfill my destiny ... Hope Mission is part of that destiny.

Violet Bailey

Some years ago when I was called to help form a Soup Kitchen, I knew then that this was what God wanted me to do. We became organized with the name of Hope Mission. We changed from Hope Mission to Hope Mission Ministries with Carteret Christian Ministries joining in with us. Lives have been changed, and so many are giving their lives to Christ. Matthew 25:35-36

Rev. Tim Havlicek

Rich people need Jesus, too," is the message I heard from a wealthy layman encouraging me to come as pastor of his church. But I have learned that the prior axiom, "Poor people need Jesus" is much easier to forget, much harder to live. Through Hope Mission, the Lord calls me to remember and serve all His children, especially those in greatest need.

Rev. Myrtle Jayroe

I love God and I love people and enjoy serving in any way I can.

Norma Krajczar

My previous experience with helpline of Carteret County has given me special insite to the need of our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate. As a christian I know that Hope Mission offers not only direct aid but also love and compassion to those we serve.

Rev. Abraham Midgett
I served in Alaska for 10 years, came home in 1994 and felt God calls me to continue His work. Thank God for Hope Mission

John Pollock

As we serve those in need, we serve none other than Christ himself. Hope Mission serves Christ in our Community.

Rev. Hilda Reels

I serve on the Board of Hope Mission because I felt I could contribute with helping to feed the hungry I also feel the shetter is a viable part of our community and I want to be a part of it and be a helper in the community with the other board members. I volunteered 7 or 8 years before becoming a board member.

Stan Stanonis

Mission work is the center of my Christianity and serving at Hope Mission fulfills my need to follow Christ

June Tippett

Volunteering in an ecumenical atmosphere in itself is rewarding. This is participating in God's Master Plan. With Hope Mission I have the opportunity to assist in feeding others, both in body and soul, which in turn, feeds my own spiritual development. There is no greater joy that the returns we receive in giving of ourselves. And I have no greater hope that in doing so, some act or word will plant a seed of hope and courage in some other person's life.

Bert Womble
I have been volunteering with organizations for over 25 years and have discovered that Hope Mission is the most worthwhile in which I have been involved
