Looking Back ... Looking Ahead

February 2016

Taking time to remember our 2015 Thanksgiving / Christmas Appeal … this past year went by in a blur and we are well into yet another year. None the less we want to take time to thank all of our faithful supporters for your generosity in making our appeal a success and to also thank you as we look ahead into our first fundraiser of the year, Empty Bowls.

Empty Bowls not only supports Hope Mission but we also give some of the proceeds to Martha’s Mission who also feeds the hungry of Carteret County. Together we meet the needs of those who may otherwise go without food or shelter.

We are looking forward to a great event on February 17th from 11am – 1pm. I hope you have already purchased tickets as we always sell out prior to the event. In fact as I write this we only have two or three left and they will be gone before the weekend is over. Thanks to the participation of those who look forward to this event every year.

We give many thanks to the many fabulous volunteers, potters and school students who supply bowls, artist and crafters who supply silent auction items, restaurants who supply delicious soups, business who supply items such as bowls, spoons, paper products, etc., Floyd’s Restaurant who pulls it all together each year also supplying many needed items, JROTC for set up, clean up and many things in between, National Charity League for supplying delicious desserts, and many others who participate each year …. Our mission statement clearly says it best …  “with many hands and one heart serving others”!

Thank you for partnering with Hope Mission in this event! Hope to see you there!
